Carrying on from my previous Mr Men Relationship Diagram, I have now added Messrs Strong, Grumble, Cheerful, Rude, Cool and Nobody.

It is that time of year when the little spring heatwave takes everyone by surprise, and nature bursts into life. When that happens I’m always reminded of the following poem by Thomas Hardy; it isn’t particularly happy, but it does have “glad green leaves”…
Afterwards
When the Present has latched its postern behind my tremulous stay,
And the May month flaps its glad green leaves like wings,
Delicate-filmed as new-spun silk, will the neighbours say,
‘He was a man who used to notice such things’?
If it be in the dusk when, like an eyelid’s soundless blink,
